~ HOLD TO DROP ยท LET GO TO WIND IT IN ~
The little word says how far down it swims. The deeper you go, the more you get โ but it is a much longer way back up. ๐ช means it fights back while you wind it in. The EASY, NORMAL and HARD buttons say which ones fight.
Press START. Then hold your finger on the sea and your line goes down. Let go and it winds back up. On a computer, hold the space bar. That is the only thing you ever do โ there is no aiming and no grab button.
The water pushes your hook sideways. Look at the little arrows down the left, and watch the bubbles: near the top the water goes one way, in the middle it goes the other way, and right at the bottom it hardly moves at all.
The more line you let out, the further the water can push you. So if you want a fish that is over to the left, drop down into the water that is flowing left and let it carry you there. That is how you steer.
Your hook grabs the very first thing it bumps into โ on the way down as well as on the way up โ and then it is full and cannot pick up anything else. So if you want the big ones at the bottom, you have to get past all the little ones first.
A fish only counts once you have pulled it all the way to the top. When the clock runs out, anything still hanging on your line does not count at all.
Big fish do not come up quietly. While you are winding one in, the bar next to your rod fills up. If it fills right to the end, your line snaps and the fish is gone. When it turns red, tap your button to let the line go loose for a second โ the bar drops back down, but the fish pulls you deeper while you do it. Getting a shark up from the bottom is a lot of winding, letting go, winding, letting go.
Rubbish is just heavy. It is not worth anything and it comes up half as fast as a fish โ so an old boot does not take your points away, it wastes your time instead.
