~ a long drive at night ~
0
Drive as far as you can before the clock runs out. Every gate you pass under puts time back on — so brake for the bends, not for fun.
The car speeds up by itself. Steer with ◀ ▶ and hold BRAKE. On a computer it is the arrow keys, and the down arrow or space to brake.
A bend shoves you towards the outside, and the faster you are going the harder it shoves. Take a sharp one flat out and you will run wide onto the grass, which is slow. Brake before it, then steer.
The yellow arrow boards are a warning. They start well before a sharp bend — even one hidden behind the top of a hill — and they point the way it goes.
Overtaking a car puts half a second on the clock. Clipping one costs you most of your speed, which on a clock costs you time.
Each gate is a bit further away than the last, so sooner or later the clock wins. Your score is how far you got.
