Fly up over the castle — your plane fires by itself, so just steer. Shoot a whole gold flight of books for a crown, and every crown makes your gun bigger.
A shadow of its own means it can bump you.
Put your thumb on the pad under the picture and slide. The plane moves the same way your thumb moves, so your thumb never covers it — and a red dot follows your thumb so you can see where it is. Hold still and the plane stops. You can drag on the picture too.
Only the pilot can be hit. A blob that clips a wing tip goes straight through, so you can squeeze between them. You have five hearts; a hit costs one and knocks your gun down a step.
Walls, tables, chests and gargoyles have no shadow of their own — they are all below you, so fly straight over them. Only a gargoyle's pink blob can reach you.
Now and then a flight of five gold books flies through. Shoot all five before they get away and the last one drops a crown: fly into it and your gun goes up a step, up to five shots at once.
Each zone has one treasure chest on the floor. Shoot it open and a cupcake floats out — that is a heart back.
A red arrow at the bottom means a baby dragon is coming up behind you. Move, or turn your shots on it as it goes past.
Get through a whole zone without being hit once and you get a big bonus for it. The gun fires by itself, so dodging is the part you are actually good at — this is what it is worth.
At the top of the castle the scrolling stops and Gond is sitting on the throne. Knock out both wings first — until they are down, a shot at its head just goes tink. The baby dragons it sends out are worth no points at all. Then the castle opens up again and the next one is harder.
