🍲 HOT POT

SCORE 0 TIME 90 COMBO ×1

Everything in the pot cooks at its own rate, and you can only fish out one thing at a time. Nothing counts down — the food itself tells you when it is ready.

How to play ▾

Tap something on the tray to drop it in. Tap it in the pot to fish it out into your bowl. The pot holds six, and that is the whole pressure — you cannot simply tip the tray in.

Pale and flat means raw. When the colour comes up and it gets a soft cream ring round it, it is ready — full points any time inside that, so don't try to be exact. Leave it too long and it goes grey and shrivelled, and then it is just taking up a place until you scrape it out, which costs you a second of your hands.

Greens are ready in a couple of seconds and spoiled almost at once; a dumpling takes an age and barely cares. The tray runs quickest to slowest, left to right.

Serve three without letting anything spoil and the next ones are worth double, six and they are triple. Only something spoiling breaks it — pulling something out early is a waste, not a mistake.

Orders come up on the pass. Fill one before the little line runs out and you get a bonus — and your combo multiplies that too, which is why watching the pass beats cooking the same thing over and over. Every thirty seconds the broth gets hotter and everything in it cooks faster. On a computer, 1 to 5 drop things in.
