Two o'clock, main stage, and they turned up to watch you
🎁 Somebody sent you this tune — press ▶ PLAY to hear it
A synth. Press the keys with as many fingers as you like, and hold one down to hold the note — the pedal keeps notes ringing after you let go.
OCT ◀ ▶ moves the whole keyboard up or down an octave. The little screen tells you where you are, so you can always get back.
SUSTAIN is the pedal. Tap it on and a note fades away slowly after your finger leaves, instead of stopping. Tap it off and everything still ringing stops.
Five sounds. SYNTH is the one it starts on, and it holds a note for as long as you hold the key. Hold a key on E.PIANO and it rings on for a good ten seconds, slowly getting quieter, like a real piano. BELL and MARIMBA are struck, so they ring out on their own and holding the key does not make them last longer. ORGAN holds at full volume until you let go, so the pedal does nothing to it.
NAMES writes the letters on the white keys, and turns them off again when you know where you are. VOLUME is the slider.
Turn the phone sideways and the keys get wider. On a laptop the letters A W S E D F T G Y H U J K play the keyboard.
● REC keeps what you play and ▶ PLAY plays it back — the keys press themselves. Underneath the keyboard, 🔗 Send this tune writes the whole thing into a link, so whoever taps it hears what you played. Nothing is saved anywhere; the tune is inside the link itself.
Max and Puff are listening — Max howls along with a long note, and Puff jumps when you play more than one key at once. Jimmy drifts past every now and then with something rude on a sign. Mash the keys and he comes over sooner.
