On a laptop the sight follows the pointer · Space or a click fires · Shift is the shield
You are the gunner at the back of the ship, and raiders are coming up behind you. Put the sight on them and fire before they get past.
Push the stick and the sight moves that way, and keeps going until you let go. Push a little and it creeps; push all the way and it races. Press FIRE with the other thumb. The shot is instant, so the sight has to be on a raider at the moment you press.
The ring round the sight is the gun. After a hit it is ready again in under half a second. A miss jams it for twice as long, and the ring goes red while it clears.
The trick: some waves fly one behind the other, all on the same path. You can see it — each one is flying along the trail of the one in front. So do not chase them. Put the sight on the trail, hold still, and press FIRE on the beat.
Hits in a row are worth 1, 2, 3, 4 and then 5 times as much. A miss puts the next one back to 1.
SHIELD throws every raider that is close back out into the distance. You get three for the whole go.
Every raider that gets past pinches a crate. When all ten crates are gone, the go is over.
