FUNCTION MACHINE

A machine eats a number and a different number comes out. Work out what it is doing, then say what the gold number will give.

Feed it numbers until you can see what it does to them — then answer for the gold one.

How to play ▾

The table shows three numbers the machine has already eaten and what came out of it. ▶ PUT IT IN feeds it any number you like, as many times as you want — but the clock is running.

When you think you know what it does, type what the gold number will give and press ✓ MY ANSWER.

Get it wrong, or let the clock run out, and a bulb blows. Three blown bulbs and it is over.
