RIGHT HOOK

Climb the skyscraper one hook at a time. A lit window will hold a hook and a dark one is shut — if both hooks come off, you fall.

How to play ▾

You sit on a window cleaner's cradle, hung from two hooks. Your left thumb throws the left hook, and your right thumb throws the right. Slide a thumb up and that hook flies onto the window above. Slide the other thumb up and that hook follows — and pulls you up with it. Two slides, one floor. You can rub a thumb up and down without lifting it.

Slide sideways to move one window across. Both hooks have to be on to do it.

A lit window holds a hook. A dark window is shut. A window about to shut flickers first, then the shutter comes down.

A hook in the air cannot save you. If a window shuts under the hook you are hanging from, or something lands on it, you fall. With both hooks on, it just clangs off and you swing. Someone leaning out of a window above you is about to drop something, a seagull drops worse, and hanging about on one floor makes the neighbours grumpy. Hook the lucky balloon and it floats you up ten floors.

Three falls and the climb is over. Reach the roof and the helicopter takes you to the next building. Your score is the highest floor.

On a computer: W for the left hook, ↑ for the right hook, A D or ← → to move across. Enter starts.
