REVERSI
The 1880s original — 32 discs each, and not one more
Put a disc down so it traps a line of the other colour between two of yours — the whole line flips. You only get 32 discs, and most discs on the board at the end wins.
How to play ▾
The board starts empty. The first four discs, two each, go in the four middle squares, and nothing flips yet.
After that, every disc must trap at least one of the other colour in a straight line — across, up and down, or diagonally. One disc can trap several lines, and they all flip.
Press a square to see what it would flip. Lift to play it, or slide off to change your mind.
If you can't trap anything, you pass. You each have 32 discs, and when yours are gone you pass for the rest of the game.
The game ends when nobody can go. A square nobody could fill stays empty. Corners can never be flipped back, and the squares next to a corner often give it away.
