Paper Racer

ONE MOVE AT A TIME

BEST SCORES

Race a pencil car round a paper track, one move at a time. Your car keeps doing what it did last turn, and you can only change that by one square.

How to play โ–พ

Nine squares show where you can go. Pick one, then press GO. The far ones speed you up. The near ones slow you down. The one with a dot in it is the same move again.

A cross is a crash. You stop dead and miss two turns.

You cannot stop on a square another car is on. Whoever is in front goes first.

First over the line wins. Everybody gets the same number of turns.

Picking one: press it on the pad, or tap near it on the paper. Picking the same one twice is GO as well. On a laptop the nine are Q W E, A S D and Z X C, and space is GO.

Alone, you race the blue rival. THE CUP is every track, one after another, and your score is every turn you took, added up. Fewest wins. Or pick one track to practise on.

Two players take turns on one screen, red and blue.
