METRO LINES

asking…

Carry as many people as you can — that is your score. If a platform stays packed for seconds, the run is over.

one person waiting, going to a ▲ three of them, all going to a ▲ red — no line here goes to that shape 👆 tap a station to hear who is waiting there

Draw the train lines. Everybody is a shape, and they only get off at a station of their own shape — so a ● waiting at a ▲ has to change trains somewhere.

How to play ▾

Pull the fat knob on the end of a line and drop it on a station to add that stop. Drop it back on the stop before instead and that stop comes off; drop it on the line's other end and you have a loop.

Touch any other station and you start a whole new line, in the next colour going spare. The buttons underneath show you what you have: one marked FREE is a colour nobody is using yet, 🔒 is one you have not won, and every dot is a train. ↺ CLEAR wipes the highlighted line.

Beside each station is a chip for every shape somebody is waiting to get to. A chip on its own is one person; a number beside it is how many. A dotted thread joins a stack of chips to the station it belongs to. Tap a station and it tells you the rest in words.

A station holds six people. When a seventh turns up a red ring starts closing round it and a red bar says how long you have left — if it runs out the run is over. Get the platform back under six and the ring empties completely.

There are two ways a platform fills up, and the chips tell you which. A grey chip means a train can take them and has not come yet — you want more trains. A red chip means nothing here goes to that shape at all — you want another line, or two lines that meet.

If a line does not go to your shape, but it stops somewhere another line does, you get off there and change. That is why lines that cross are worth more than tidy lines that never touch.

Going under the river costs a tunnel — you start with one and can win more. At the end of every week you pick one of two rewards.

While your finger is down the whole game runs slowly, so take your time drawing. ⏸ PAUSE stops it altogether and you can still draw.

Your score is how many people you got where they were going.
