Last Piece

How to play ▾

Chess pieces on a small board, and one rule: every move has to take something. You can only move a piece onto a square that already has a piece on it. There is no such thing as a quiet move.

PLAYING IT

THE THING TO KNOW

The number of moves never changes — six pieces is always five moves — so it is never about finding a shorter way round. It is entirely about the order. Take the wrong thing first and the piece you needed as a stepping stone is gone.

THE PIECES

On a laptop: Z to undo and R to start again.
